LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday said that the Dolphin force has been formed for safeguarding the China Pakistan Economic
Corridor projects making their way in the Punjab.
While addressing the passing out ceremony o
f the Dolphin force, the CM stated that the idea o
f the force originated from Turkey.
Shehbaz Sharif expr
essed his hope that the same level of quality service can b
e expected from the force.
He also added that the personnel o
f the force will set examples regarding eradication of crime.
The CM Punjab continued onwards to say that the government has spent billions of rupees on the constitution o
f the Dolphin force and everybody has their expectations set upon it.
The idea o
f the forces was perceived back in 2013, where it was decided that 700 policeman would be equipped to battle against street crime.
