LAHORE: Addressing a gathering in Lahore on Saturday, ousted Premier
Nawaz Sharif questioned the writ of the government, and claimed that all of us should apologise if we failed to bring reforms to Pakistan since independence in 1947.
The PML-N leader also questioned the existence of the writ of the state, claiming,
““I ask [Punjab Chief Minister] Shehbaz Sharif and Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, where is the writ of the government?”
Sharif was addressing PML-N leaders from the Gujranwala and Faisalabad Divisions and also said that people must change their mind sets if they wish to progress.
“”We will have to change our perception of things and our way of thinking,” the former PM said.
Sharif also launched an attack on his Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) counterpart Imran Khan, saying,
“We shouldn’t engage in politics if we want to take orders from above.”
He also cal
led this practice ‘hypocritical’.
Sharif also lamented the fact that it was only in Pakistan that prime ministers were not allowed to complete their tenures.

eover, he remarked that his government had achieved substantial economic growth, with GDP growth stagnant at 3.9% when his party had
come to power.

He also addressed the ongoing Panama Papers saga and said that the investigation had revealed his family’s innocence.
